Referral Program Terms
Last updated: 26 October 2025
These terms govern participation in the Gradus Referral Program ("Program") operated by Gradus Pty Ltd ("Gradus", "we", "us", or "our"). By participating, you agree to these terms in full. If you do not agree, you may not participate in the Program.
1. Eligibility
To participate in the Program, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old;
- Comply with all applicable Australian laws, including tax and privacy laws;
- Not be an employee, director, or contractor of Gradus or its affiliates;
- Have a verified identity (for commission payments).
Student societies, clubs, or incorporated associations may also participate where permitted under their governing rules and local laws.
2. Program Overview
The Gradus Referral Program allows individuals and organisations to earn commissions by referring employers and/or students to Gradus.
There are two distinct referral streams:
- Employer Referral Program: for referring new employers to Gradus;
- Student Referral Program: for referring eligible students to apply and participate in Gradus' graduate intakes.
Each participant will be issued a unique referral code that must be used at sign-up by the referred party for the referral to be valid.
3. How It Works
Employer Referral Stream
- Share your referral code with potential employers.
- The employer signs up using your code when creating their Gradus account.
- The employer purchases hiring tokens through the platform.
- When the employer hires any student through Gradus during the 2026 calendar year, you earn a commission for each confirmed hire made using a token.
Student Referral Stream
- Share your referral code with students eligible for Gradus (final-year or recent graduates).
- The student signs up using your code when applying through Gradus.
- When that student is later confirmed as hired through Gradus, you earn a commission on that hire.
4. Commission Structure
| Referral Type | Commission Rate | Basis |
|---|---|---|
| Employer Referral | 10% | Of the hiring token value used for each confirmed hire. Applies to all hires that the referred employer makes through Gradus during the 2026 calendar year. |
| Student Referral | 5% | Of the hiring token value used by the employer to confirm the referred student's hire. One-time per hired student. |
Notes:
- Hiring token values may vary depending on bulk purchase discounts applied to the employer's token pack.
- Commissions are calculated based on the final effective token price at the time of hire confirmation.
- Only confirmed hires (reported and validated within the Gradus system) are eligible for commission.
5. Payment Terms
- Processing Cycle: Commissions are reviewed and processed monthly following validation of confirmed hires.
- Payment Method: All commissions are paid via direct bank transfer to Australian accounts only.
- Minimum Payout Threshold: A minimum balance of AUD $50 must be reached before payment is issued. Lower balances will roll over to the next cycle.
- Processing Timeline: Once approved, payments are typically made within 10 business days of month-end.
- Bank Details: Participants must provide accurate bank details prior to payment. Gradus will not reissue payments due to incorrect information.
Gradus may request identity or bank verification before releasing payments, in compliance with anti-money-laundering obligations.
6. Prohibited Activities
Participants must not:
- Use spam, automated systems, or deceptive practices to solicit referrals;
- Misrepresent Gradus, its services, or the Program;
- Create fake or duplicate accounts or refer yourself;
- Use paid advertising (Google, Meta, or others) containing Gradus trademarks or domain names without prior written approval;
- Offer incentives, rebates, or unauthorised compensation to referred users;
- Refer employers who already have an active Gradus account or are already engaged with Gradus;
- Engage in any activity that violates applicable laws, privacy regulations, or the Gradus Terms of Service.
7. Disqualification and Withholding
Gradus may disqualify referrals or withhold commissions if:
- The referred employer or student already existed in the Gradus database prior to sign-up;
- The referral activity breaches these Terms or involves fraud, spamming, or manipulation;
- The referred employer or student violates Gradus' Terms of Service;
- Payment information is incomplete, inaccurate, or unverifiable.
Gradus reserves the right to make the final determination on eligibility and commission payment.
8. Tax Responsibilities
Participants are responsible for any taxes, levies, or charges associated with commissions earned through this Program. Gradus may issue payment summaries or reports if required under Australian tax law. Participants should seek independent tax advice to ensure compliance.
9. Tracking and Attribution
Referrals are tracked exclusively by the referral code entered at sign-up. Attribution cannot be modified after registration. In the event of a dispute regarding attribution, Gradus' internal records will be considered final and binding.
10. Termination of Participation
Gradus may suspend or terminate your participation in the Program immediately if you:
- Breach these Terms or the Gradus Terms of Service;
- Engage in fraudulent, misleading, or unlawful activity;
- Request removal from the Program;
- Fail to provide valid payment or verification details.
Upon termination, all pending and unpaid commissions may be forfeited at Gradus' discretion.
11. Program Changes or Termination
Gradus reserves the right to modify, suspend, or terminate the Program at any time without prior notice. Changes will be posted on this page and communicated by email where practical. Your continued participation after such changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Gradus shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from or related to participation in this Program. Gradus' total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total commission amount earned (if any) by the participant in the preceding twelve (12) months.
13. Governing Law
These Referral Program Terms are governed by the laws of South Australia, Australia, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of South Australia.
